Our desire is also to send out equipped adult missions teams, as well as long and short term missionaries. In doing this we will build up the foreign missions and missionaries with building projects, improvements and evangelism.
The Cayman Islands were colonized from Jamaica by the British during the 18th and 19th centuries, and were administered by Jamaica after 1863. In 1959, the islands became a territory within the Federation of the West Indies, but when the Federation dissolved in 1962, the Cayman Islands chose to remain a British dependency.
Our pastor just returned from the Cayman Islands and having done some prison ministry there as well as speaking in churches and to the authorities. He tells us that there are not the restrictions in ministry that we have here in the USA. They are very open and want help. We are looking for a team of adults to go to the Cayman Islands to bring the light into the darkness of the prisons and help with the planned ministry and teaching in the local churches, schools, Radio and TV.
